This cleaning kit for espresso machines consists of the following components:
- 1x cleaning pin for cleaning the milk foam nozzle and the filter sieves.
- 1x blind sieve (diameter: Ø approx. 58mm) for cleaning the brewing head of Graef espresso machines with the cleaning tablets. Suitable for the models contessa/baronessa/marchesa/ES85/86/90/91/95.
The dummy sieve is placed in the portafilter for this purpose.
For cleaning, please proceed as follows:
- Fill the water tank of the machine with sufficient water (at least 1 liter), empty the drip tray, reinsert it and switch on the machine.
- Place the blind sieve in the 2-cup filter insert of the portafilter.
- Now place a Graef cleaning tablet (item no. 145614) in the sieve insert of the portafilter.
- Insert the portafilter into the machine.
- Place a larger container, e.g. the Graef milk jug, under the outlet of the portafilter.
- Now start the espresso brewing process. Stop it after 15 seconds. Now wait 15 seconds and repeat the espresso process for 15 seconds. Then wait another 15 seconds. Now repeat this procedure three more times (total cleaning time: approx. 4 minutes). The brewing water from the pipes is drained into the drip tray after each procedure.
- Remove the portafilter from the machine. The cleaning tablet should now be completely dissolved. You can now remove the blind sieve.
- Empty the drip tray, reinsert the portafilter, and run a few empty cycles.
- Now you can use the machine again for espresso preparation.
